Micro USB 2.0 OTG Cable On The Go Adapter

With this OTG cable, just connect your micro usb phone from male micro usb port and add the driver to female usb port, then you can send the files directly on your phone or tablets easily as a host. Allows you to connect devices, like flash drive, card reader, mouse or a keyboard to your Micro USB OTG capable tablet computer or Smartphone directly at speed up to 480Mbps, controlling your device with a mouse and keyboard.

2420eb2112da59b8200fb26bbfb8e6e6-image-400x480I highly recommend everyone with an Android-based phone buy one of these adapters and keep it with you (at home or in your bag when you travel) — it comes in a 2-pack, so should be easy. It plugs into your micro-USB port (charging port) and lets you plug in USB devices. In this case, that USB device was a USB mouse, which lets you control your screen just as if you had touchscreen capability (my phone’s screen [digitizer] was unresponsive to touch after a drop). You likely have a USB mouse lying around somewhere or can find/borrow one (much more likely than finding one of these adapters). Plug your adapter into the phone and plug your mouse into the adapter. Voila! You now have control of your phone.

Yes, this is a bit clunky. I don’t expect you to be walking around town toting your phone, adapter, and mouse in your pocket and whipping it out to take a selfie on the street. But, it is very functional while working on a desk/table and sure beats having a working phone that you can’t interact with. Plus, you can also use it to attach other USB-based devices, such as a USB memory stick, which could make file transfers possible/easier, especially if you don’t have a microSD card. Other options include a keyboard or the wireless adapter for your keyboard or mouse.

FYI: Your phone is powering the USB device, so anything you plug in must be able to be powered by the phone or have separate power. In other words, it’ll work with a mouse and USB memory stick, but won’t power a external hard drive (unless the hard drive has its own power source).

** Simple workaround for an unresponsive touchscreen

** Micro-USB 2.0 and Micro-USB 3.0 Versions available

** Small and easy to carry

** Plug and play

** High quality, well built cable

** Angled adapter, which helps prevent bent adapters (FYI, the 3.0 version looks like it’s straight vs. angled)

** Bonus functionality for other USB devices (like memory sticks, keyboards, wireless mice)

** Full setup is clunky (not ideal for on-the-go use)

Final Thoughts

Take the 2 minutes to order this adapter now and put one in your work bag and keep the other at home. Fingers crossed you never have to use it. If you do, you’ll be so glad you have it!

Without a doubt, a Micro USB 2.0 OTG Cable is a good investment. There are many different cell phone cables available in the market, so be sure to test out a few before purchasing one.

1.Before purchasing, please search online to make sure your phone had OTG function

2.The host will be power output status when connect OTG cable, also do not support both OTG and charging at the same time

3.Watch movie from flash drivers directly is not suggested,it would be better to watch movies by copy file to host first

4.Support flash drivers format:fat16, fat32, exfat, No NTFS!

5.For first-time user, please connect the cable to your sets first, and then reset the device

Best Rugged Protective Case for Samsung Galaxy S7

I’m a true Defender believer having had the Defender case for my old Galaxy S7 for several years until I found out that Defenders sadly aren’t waterproof (oops!) When I got my new Samsung Galaxy S7 I immediately went out and got a Defender. This case has saved my phone so many times! I’m not the most graceful and have dropped my phone on tile and concrete, but if you take the phone out of the case it still looks like it did the day I bought it. The built in screen protector works great, protecting my phone from any scratches. The access window for the fingerprint scanner is very convenient and never hinders the scanner. The case does make your phone a bit bulky compared to other less protective cases, but it certainly isn’t too big, and in my opinion, the added bulk is a small price to pay for the excellent protection this case provides.

Galaxy S7 Defender Case
Galaxy S7 Defender Case

I drop things. Hard. My previous phone took an Olympics-worthy three-story dive to hard concrete while I was climbing without a harness. It had to take one for the team. Amazingly, it survived the fall – far better than I would have done – and lived for a long time with the scars to prove it, drawing awkward looks from other people at the Franken-phone it was becoming…

When it was time to upgrade my phone (moment of silence), I made the questionable decision to go Samsung Android instead of Apple and decided to pony up for a decent case so that it would survive me. I regret the cell phone decision. I adore the Defender. If you are the sort of person who is going to murder your phone out of hand, skip the replacement insurance and just buy a decent case. It has a clear, substantial screen that keeps things out and fingerprints off and the body of it is strong and flexible enough to take a beating. My only complaint would be that over time the bottom puckers out a bit from all the unsealing of the charging port. If you charge wirelessly, I imagine even that would not be an issue – and I love it enough to give it five stars even with the pucker.

On an aesthetic note, I clearly do not care, but the matte black blends well with the phone and, while some might find it slightly boxy, I think it’s just fine if you are not looking for the French poodle or Faberge egg of phone cases. It is not unattractive, but it is definitely utilitarian.

I love it. I had a couple of concerns about it before I bought it – mainly that the touch screen would be unresponsive, it would be too bulky and it would block off my access to buttons and so on – not that I wouldn’t be able to get to them but that they might be difficult to press or mis-aligned. Based on some reviews I was a little worried the case would be difficult to get on and off the phone.

I really like this cell phone cases. None of those concerns have been validated. The touch screen is still extremely responsive with no fiddling or repeated attempts. All of the buttons are crisp to press and access. The thumb-print button is not covered at all and works perfectly. You can still clearly feel when the buttons are depressed. It is not too bulky for me at all. The case is easy to take off and put on.

I have not dropped my phone, but the case feels and looks extremely sturdy. It really looks and feels fantastic on the phone. The way that the rubber outer piece snaps into the hard plastic “box” really makes all the lines look nice and clean and straight. It doesn’t really look like a phone with a case – it looks like a different style of phone. In a good way.

The phone still goes in my pocket fine and is not too bulky to just carry around. I’m not a holster guy, but it seems to securely grab the phone when it is connected, but also be quick to remove.

I do have some concerns for the durability of the silicone flaps that cover silence switch and the power/audio jacks. I’ve had my case for only a few months, but there is some visual wear where these flaps connect to the rest of the silicone skin. I haven’t had any issues yet, but I’m concerned they’ll start to fall of down the road. Just something to watch out for. Aside from this the Defender has been an excellent case for me and has proved to be an excellent investment in keeping my phone safe and secure.

Nillkin Type-C to USB 2.0 A Male Cable Review

Nillkin Type-C to USB 2.0 A Male Cable which is specially design for the 2015 Apple New Macbook 12 inch, OnePlus Two, Google Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Pixel C, New Nokia N1 tablet, Lumia 950, Lumia 950XL and other devices with Type C connector.

Benson here again, continuing my reviews of USB Type C legacy cables. Today I am reviewing Nillkin-E’s “Nillkin-E 6Ft (1.8M) Braided USB C Cable with Stepped Connector” This is an A-to-C legacy cable.

I got a comment in one of my previous reviews that I should be testing with a 2.4A capable power supply to demonstrate that the cable is of good enough quality to sustain 2.4A charging, so for this review, I am using one of Apple’s 1st party power adapters with a 5.2V, 2.4A charging capability, specifically Apple’s 12W iPad charger.

Running the ectool command on Pixel:

localhost ~ # ectool –dev 1 usbpdpower

Port 0: SNK Charger Proprietary 4757mV / 2400mA, max 5000mV / 2400mA / 12000mW

Port 1: SRC

In this case, the Pixel has negotiated up to 2.4A of charging through the Nillkin-E cable to the Apple charger.

Switching over to the USB PD sniffer, I’ll run the “tw cc” command to get a voltage reading on both CC lines:

> tw cc

CC1 = 23 mV ; CC2 = 427 mV

The important number to look at here is CC2, which indicates a voltage of 427mV. If you refer to the USB Type-C Specification 1.1 Table 4-25.

Look at the row labeled vRd-USB, which indicates the legal voltage values to read from the CC pin in order to be categorized as “Default USB Power”. The range is Min : 0.25V Max : 0.61V. For this cable, I measured a value of 427mV right in the middle of this range, indicating that yes, this cable has a 56kΩ resistor and is within spec for CC termination.

One more twinky command :

> tw vbus

VBUS = 4775 mV ; -2446 mA

The vbus command here uses twinkie’s built in current and voltage meter. It’s confirmed that Pixel is charging at 2.4A.

I have also done a 4-wire measurement of impedance on Vbus and Gnd using a bench LCR meter to see if this cable is within spec for IR Drop (Section 4.4.1 of the Type-C spec) :

Vbus : 0.114Ω -> 342mV

Gnd  : 0.079Ω -> 237mV

These are within the limits of 500mV for Vbus and 250mV for Gnd! Very good! This cable will not cause excessively slow charging.

For a USB 2.0 High Speed data test, I’ve hooked my Nexus 5X to my Chromebook Pixel via the Nillkin-E Type-A to Type-C cable to test large file transfer via MTP. It just works, no problem!

For other more subjective judgements of this cable : Nillkin-E has done some upgrades to this new 6ft cable! The Type-C plug is brand new for Nillkin-E; it a very good quality plug made with a deep-draw extrusion process. The plug is a single continuous piece of metal all the way around, meaning it’s stronger than other flat stamped type plugs. This type of plug very similar to the kind that is used on all of Google and Apple’s Type-C plugs, and the quality shows here.

The overmold of the Type-C side of the cable is larger than Nillkin-E’s previous plugs, with a “Stepped” connector. Basically the overmold gets smaller as it gets closer to the Type-C plug. The idea is that this should make it easier to plug into tighter cases that don’t leave a lot of room around the Type-C connector on phones.

In conclusion, this is a fine cable for your Nexus 6P/5X to use with all of your older USB Type-A chargers, hubs, and PCs. It also works great with Chromebook Pixel 2015 and will work great on USB Type-C spec compliant devices to come!

Universal Air Vent Magnetic Car Mount Holder for Cell Phones

This mount works GREAT for the dash of my vehicle. I got tired of squeezing my phone between two clamps of other styles of mounts and figured this would be a low-profile and easy to use mount. I found it held my Galaxy S5 inside of a Slim Armor case without any issues whatsoever. I recently upgraded from that phone and now have a Droid Maxx 2. It’s larger, a little heavier, and has a curved back. I found the smaller circular metal disc fits inside the removable back panel and allows it to securely attach to this mount as well.

The magnets are VERY strong and the phone doesn’t move around at all. I typically keep my phone vertical but when I turn it horizontal for maps or whatever, it stays there. It even stays there when plugged into the charger which left me impressed. I was skeptical of a $12 item, but couldn’t be more pleased. I’m going to order a second for my wife’s vehicle.

This mount is so easy to use. Once you put the metal plate inside your phone case, it snaps on and off with no effort whatsoever. I like the plate mount vs. the vent mount because it doesn’t cover my air vents and gives more versatility to where I can place it. The only thing I’d mention is that you should be sure you angle it exactly where you want it before sticking it because I accidentally stuck it upside down and now the mount won’t rotate as far as I’d like it to. Easily my bad and I could take some goo gone and double stick tape and reposition it easy enough. I also love how you can buy additional metal plates to use multiple phones. Now my husband and I can both use it with minimal effort depending on who is driving.

  • EASY YOU USE: This Air vent universal smartphone magnetic car mount holder is 10 times easier to use than any other magnetic car mount holder due to its simple and complementary design. It has a sturdy rubber base and a powerful magnetic head for holding smartphones.
  • POWERFUL MAGNETIC MOUNT: The reinforced magnetic holder of this mount is what sets it apart from other mounts. This Universal magnetic holder produces an intensive force of attraction that will hold any smartphone. Including Android, Apple, Blackberry and Microsoft devices.
  • UNIQUE DESIGN: This Twist lock is a unique design which you enter the mount into the Air vent and you can lock the mount it should not fall out !
  • STURDY BASE: The high quality rubber construction of the base of the mount is unique and very functional as w
  • SWIVEL MOUNT: Rotate your smartphone and swivel your display as you please. The base of the mount remains fixed into the air vent of your car and does not move, no matter how much swiveling or rotation you do. This guarantees that your smartphone will always remain in your preferred position

This is the 3rd mount I have tried in my Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The vent mount works in my wife’s Enclave with flat vents so that Wizgear model stays in that vehicle. The suction cup mount worked but obstructed my view plus my car doesn’t have a level surface on the dash anywhere. That’s where this model comes in. The 3m mounting tape is strong so you better make sure where you mount it, you want it. I found that this model has a nice surface for mounting. Not too wide to be an eyesore but not to narrow to prevent a firm grip.

I made sure the surface was clean (doesn’t need to be as clean as the other mount) and held the phone on the bracket until I was happy with its location. I have it on the inside of a TPU case but another is on its way to mount the disc on the outside of a case. My truck is a bit rough (hey it’s ten years old) but this magnet held. In the vertical position no issues. In horizontal it wanted to sag a bit to the side that my car charger was plugged in to. Not a big deal.

I also tried this with a thicker case (puregear) but it did not hold as firm in my car. The problem is that with cases with a high gloss finish, unless the magnet is on the outside, the surface becomes too slippery. Again, the TPU case solves this issue and at home or work, when I want to use wireless charging, I just pop off the TPU case.

This replaces an older bracketron cup holder gooseneck generic stand which works great, but I wanted my cup holder back.

This Air Vent Magnetic Car Mount Cell Phone Holder is is a worth contender, brought to you by, quality is guaranteed. Finding the best car mounts for your smartphone in your car can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Car Mount Holder Magnetic Adsorption Stander Charging Cradle Stand for Smart Phones

Car Mount Holder Charging CradleI’ve used couple of dash car mount and this car smartphone dash holder/mount is totally new to me. I’m pleased and impressed with this mount holder because of its unique concept and I like the dual charging cable for iOS and Android phone in a single cable and that looks very neat and convenient so you don’t have to use two different cable if you have a device that uses micro USB, with its magnetic charging connection it is sturdy an has pretty strong magnet and can be rotates and still held in place with no issue on charging. The magnetic cable length is 8 inches end to end and the USB cable is 42 inches which is long enough to reach my cigarette USB charger.

The DIY Car Holder is fashionable creative and well-designed. A lot of unique design make it stand out.

  • DIY Disassemble and Combine. Unique design, easily adjusting the width for your iPhone Samsung Galaxy or any size smartphone.
  • Super Flexible Silicone Material, adapt to different radian and material, polishing at the bottom to achieve better antiskid effect. Perfect adhere to all kinds of arc center console of all kinds of car and adapt to all sorts of driving conditions.
  • Humanized design. Creative Magnetic Absorption Charging Port with Lightning Micro USB 2 in 1 cable. Any time to use your phone when charging. One-hand operation.
  • 120 degree Slant Design. Most comfortable angle of view.
  • Super tough and big size design. High quality and multifunction. Also suitable for work and home or anywhere you want it.

Humanized design:

  • Creative Magnetic Absorption Charging Port. More inconvenient to use your phone when charging.
  • One-hand operation.
  • 120 degree slant design. Most comfortable angle of view whether in the car at home or in the office.

I have tried various designs of vehicle phone holders from ones that attach to an AC vent to others that make use of a suction cup that secures it to the windshield. My favorite and most convenient phone holders so far are the ones that I can quickly place my phone on without fumbling with them too much in order to get them to securely hold the phone. This Remax silicone dash pad phone holder is now one of my favorites because I can start up a GPS map app and then in a matter of seconds place the phone between the cradle legs and be confident that my phone won’t going flying off somewhere in the car when driving. Something to take note is that the cradle legs may not secure a phone in a thick case. The space that fits the phone is only 3/8 in / 10 mm wide but will stretch somewhat because it is made of soft rubber. I’m mentioning this because it is an important thing to consider before purchasing this item.

The greatest feature of this holder that it doesn’t need any sticky adhesives to stay secure on the dashboard which may ruin the finish. Since the holder dash pad is made of silicone rubber that has a glossy smooth finish on the bottom, it has a tenacious grip on most surfaces which includes most dashboards. I say most because some dashboards have certain finishes and textures that may not allow the holder to grip as well as it should and then others sometimes have features such as a section that has compartment that can hold items that would prevent this holder from resting on the dashboard surface properly. I have one such vehicle like that so this holder didn’t work as well on the dashboard in that vehicle but it worked well in my remaining vehicles.

This is the best car mounting system for my cell phone I’ve tried yet. As a Vine reviewer, I have reviewed several different kinds of car mounting systems for cell phones. Most of them clip onto the car’s vent and never seem sturdy enough. Not to mention they block the vent and subject the phone to hot or cold air being blown on it.

This system works by sitting on your dashboard. It is important to make sure to position it so that there are no airbags underneath it. It uses a flexible rubber/silicone base that hold the base in place by gravity and friction and it works under almost all situations. It might bounce off if you go off a jump or hit a very large bump but you should avoid doing that anyway.

There are two clamps, also made from a flexible rubbery material, that can be positioned almost anywhere on the base. These firmly hold in my iPhone 5s and iPhone 6s with a thin case. There is a charging cable that connects magnetically to the base. This is so you can quickly remove the phone from the base and take a call without have to worry about disconnecting the charging cable.

The beauty of the base is that I can use it on any flat surface including on my desk.

The Best Magnetic Car Air Vent Mount

Magnetic Car Air Vent MountThis Air vent universal smartphone magnetic car mount holder is 10 times easier to use than any other magnetic car mount holder due to its simple and complementary design. It has a sturdy rubber base and a powerful magnetic head for holding smartphones. It features a magnetic technology, which means your smartphone will be secure and have no chance of falling. When a phone is secure in place, it becomes easier to use for GPS navigation too. Sturdy, cradle-less and attractive device holding system. Pretty cool phone on mount. You basically put the magnetic between your phone and your phone case and then apply to your case so that way the magnet is not visible. Then you simply take the other piece and clip it to your car vent. That way your phone stays exactly where you put it on the car vent. I tested it going over train tracks and it didn’t move. I received this item for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

Even though I have built-in GPS I’d much rather use my phone’s maps and GPS. With that said, I am always in search of the perfect way to mount my phone to my dashboard for hands-free use. That’s why I was so thrilled to come across the Aerb Air Vent Magnetic Universal Car Mount Holder. I can’t begin to tell you how awesome this car mounting system is. It’s so easy to use and that’s why I love it. It also has a great rotating ability for ease of use too. You can move it to easily view your mobile phone to any direction easily. My phone has not fallen off the mount at all and fits perfectly into the air vent.

It’s as easy as two steps. It uses reinforced magnetic holder which has an intensive force of attraction and that’s what’s different. It’s made of high-quality rubber materials and you can tell it will last for years to come. I was given this product in exchange for my opinion which is exactly as expressed. This is one of the best car mounts I’ve ever tried and I’ve tried several. I highly recommend it and think it also makes for a great stocking stuffer for the holidays too. I can’t wait to get some for my friends and family.

Love this so much! I have tried so many phone holders that are such a waste of money and don’t work – my phone is huge and I need to take my phone case off in order to make it work. I actually use a huge rubber otter box case. I stuck the magnet inside the case, didn’t tape it down because I”m thinking of getting a new phone, and it works PERFECTLY!! I love it, I bought a total of 5. One for me and four as gifts. Everyone loves them. My brother in law has a Jeep with very large vents so he has to turn his vents vertically but it still works. However, when he was driving down a bumpy off-road, it popped off the air vent. That has never happened to me because I have a Nissan Altima and what I consider “normal” vents, but his air vents are gigantic. He was saying that it worked great for him on normal roads but if you’re an off roader with huge vents, this may not stay.

TA800177I rarely write reviews but I had a very hard time finding a case I liked, so when I found this case and decided I loved it, I thought I would share in case someone else is have trouble finding that perfect one. I purchased the vintage red case for my One M9. I had previously purchased two other cases that were cheaper and I got what I paid for. One broke when I removed it from my phone and scratched the case during the removal due to the cheap plastic. The other I returned as it arrived damaged – the leather was already peeling. Very nice color, luxury touch and look, the phone fit inside perfectly, looks smaller than without cover, some people might say it’s expensive but when the phone cost almost 1000 and you have a monthly plan for it, I think deserves a nice cover to go with it 🙂

The iCarer case was a pleasant surprise. I liked the fact soft leather held my phone firmly yet I could remove it easily. I have had no trouble using the stand feature after a little practice I can slide the phone in and out of the left hand brackets with ease. The leather is a higher quality than other cases I purchased although they were a lot cheaper too. The color of the leather is a nice deep red and I have had no issues with color changes. My phone rides in my back pocket a lot so there is a lot of potential for color fading.

All the areas for the volume and power buttons, camera, speaker, earphone jack all line up well. I had issues with a previous case interfering with my earphone jack but not with this case. The front even has a cutout for the top speaker so you can close the flap and talk on the phone although I prefer to fold the flap back when on the phone which works well too. I like the magnetic closure on the flap. I looks very nice and it keeps the flap from shifting when it is covering the phone.

Overall, I would recommend this to others.

Maintenance Instruction:

  • Keep leather dry & ventilated.
  • Avoid high temperature, rain, great pressure, scrape, mildew, acid, alkali & moist.
  • Clean the case lightly with wet cotton cloth.
  • Daub the leather care regularly.
